For decades a stretch of the Foothills Parkway about a mile and a half long remained incomplete. Now thanks to a mix of engineering and funding, this “missing link” allows people access to the entire stretch between Wears Valley (near Pigeon Forge) and Walland (near Townsend).
Standing Stone State Park is a secluded park along the Cumberland Plateau near Livingston, TN. It provides an escape for the day or longer, it’s all up to you.
You don’t have to travel to the beach to get a great boardwalk experience. Tucked away along the Tennessee River in South Knoxville, is a unique boardwalk experience that gives you some amazing views of the Tennessee River.
Tucked away on the south side of the Tennessee River lies an amazing stretch of wilderness and it's easy to find the key to it all with just a short hike.
The dogwood trees may be the star of the Dogwood Arts Festival in Knoxville, but some of the public art displays will be around long after the blooms are gone.
The Songbird Trail at Norris Dam State Park follows along the cool clear waters of the Clinch River. It's a two mile trail that's easy to walk.
